Hi, I’m Eric Levine, a professor in the Department of Neuroscience in the School of Medicine.
I am involved in undergraduate, graduate, and medical school teaching, and I have served as the Director of the Neuroscience Graduate Program.
In my research laboratory, we study neurophysiology, with a particular interest in how synapses are modulated by endogenous cannabinoids and nerve growth factors. Another area of research uses human neurons to explore the pathophysiology underlying autism and epilepsy.
Hi! I'm Etan Markus, a professor in the Department of Psychological Sciences. I'm a "Behavioral Neuroscientist", interested in the brain basis of behavior. My research focuses on the process in which we turn experiences into long term memories.
We live in exciting times with new insights into how our brain works being uncovered almost daily! I love to share my knowledge both with the undergraduates in my lab and in my classes. My teaching & mentorship has been recognized...
Yearly university Provost acknowledgment of my excellent teaching evaluations (10+ yrs)
in addition....
* NorthEast Under/graduate Research Organization for Neuroscience “Faculty Award for Excellence in Scholarship and Mentorship” (2020)
* AAUP "Teaching Excellence Career Award" (2016);
* CLAS "Excellence in Teaching Award" (2016);
* UCONN "Office of Undergraduate Research Faculty Mentorship Excellence Award" (2016)

Hi, I’m Srdjan Antic, an associate professor in the Department of Neuroscience in the School of Medicine.
Research in my laboratory is primarily directed towards understanding the cellular and molecular mechanisms of synaptic integration, synaptic plasticity, neuronal excitability and how dopamine modulates these fundamental processes. We have focused our attention on neurons and synapses in the prefrontal cortex, an area of the brain that plays an important role in working memory, planning and emotions.
Hi, I’m Ido Davidesco, an assistant professor in the Department of Educational Psychology.
I’m a cognitive neuroscientist by training, and I am using neuroscience methods to answer questions related to how students learn in face-to-face and online classrooms. My research is tightly linked to my teaching, and I love sharing it with students.
I have nearly 15 years of teaching experience in K-12 and higher education.
Educational Psychology was the first course I took in college, and it is my favorite course to teach.
I look forward to meeting you in class!
